[DETAIL] Jaguar XJ Detail & Paint Protection 22PLE VX1 9H Glass Coat

This unique Jaguar XJ Tourer came into Car Care Products recently for a single stage correction and Paint Protection with 22PLE VX1 Pro 9H Glass Coating.

Luckily the paintwork being silver does tend to hide a lot of the marring and imperfections however the gloss was lacking a little for a car of this type!


The Jaguar XJ was booked in for:

■ Minor Paint Correction
■ Paint Protection (22PLE VX1 Pro)
■ Full Interior Clean & Leather Cleanse
■ Leather & Fabrics Protected with Nanolex Pro Leather & Textile Sealant (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/nanolex/textile_and_leather_sealant)
■ Glass Polished and Sealed – Nanolex Ultra Glass Sealant inc Glass Panoramic Roof

The paint was corrected with the RUPES LHR15 (15mm) Bigfoot (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/rupes/bigfoot_polisher_lhr15e) as well as the LHR21mm Bigfoot (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/rupes/bigfoot_polisher_kit_lhr21e) and also the DAS6 Pro (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/car_care_products/ro_polisher_das6_pro_kit_lake_country) and Festool RAP80 for smaller areas including the door pillars which were heavily marred up. Polished used were our standard Menzerna FG500, Menzerna PF2500 and SF4000 (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/menzerna/sampler_kit) and as mentioned finished with 22PLE Japanese 9H Glass Coating (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/products/22ple).

Its quite common to find the Pillars on modern European and even Japanese & Australian cars full of fine scratches. These seem to be that soft that even a single wash can affect and cause marring which become quite visible and doesn’t look so nice 

The marring was still quite visible even for the silver Jaguar paintwork.

The Wheels were removed off the Jaguar XF for an extremely thorough clean and protected with Nanolex Ultra Rim Sealant

1Z Einszett ColourTec Wheel Cleaner (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/einszett_1z/colourtec_wheel_cleaner) was used and as you can see reacting very quickly with all that brake dust and in fact bleeding not only purple but also green! A little agitation with the Vikan Wheel & Arch Brush (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/vikan/wheel_and_arch_brush)

The Exhaust Tips needed a little love, so with a little bit of Flitz Metal Polish (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/products/flitz) and a soft microfibre cloth they were easily back to the mirror chrome finish
