Welcome to GAIJIN-GARAGE 外人 ガレージ

We are the Official Distributor for SPOON SPORTS (http://www.gaijin-garage.com/products_SPOON.html) and RIGID COLLAR (http://www.gaijin-garage.com/products_RIGIDCOLLAR.html) for Australia and New Zealand.

As long time Honda and SPOON enthusiasts (and also OZ-Honda members for over 10 years), we aim to give you access to the Spoon product range at the best possible price, delivered to your door direct.

As the SPOON Authorized Dealer (http://www.spoonsports.jp/dealer.html) for Australia, we deal directly with SPOON SPORTS Japan and eliminate any 3rd party suppliers and pass those savings on to you. If we can't match (or better) any genuine quote on Spoon products, chances are the parts or seller are not genuine.

In addition to the SPOON and RIGID COLLAR product range, we also can supply
JDM OEM GENUINE HONDA PARTS (http://www.gaijin-garage.com/products_JDM-OEM.html) and HONDA MODULO (http://www.gaijin-garage.com/products_MODULO.html) accessories for JDM and equivalent models.

Please check back here regularly for the latest Product Updates and SPECIAL OFFERS from Gaijin-Garage. You can also FIND US ON FACEBOOK (http://www.facebook.com/Ga1j1nGarage) to check out the Latest Offers and Promotions, News and Customer's Cars etc.

We are in the process of translating the entire SPOON Product Catalog and constructing an Online Shopping Basket however we can process your order with payment through PayPal or Direct Bank Transfer right now.

Feel free to contact us with your enquiry via email (sales@gaijin-garage.com) (sales@gaijin-garage.com) and we will respond to your message within 24 hours.

We look forward to looking after fellow Oz-Honda members and will have some Special Offers very soon... STAY TUNED ;)

Yeah I read that, sorry I should have been more specific lol has anyone else used these? How does the car car feel afterwards? Bumpy etc? ATM I have hard race engine mounts and full suspension bushes done and goodness me to say its uncomfortable to ride in to say the least.
Would these make a good improvement overall?

What are these rigid collar things like? It's new to me lol

Rigid Collar will tie together the subframe to the chassis without any further movement and in perfect alignment. This allows your Suspension and steering components to function without any detriment from movement in the subframe. It reduces vibration and shock from transferring to the chassis by allowing the bushes and suspension to do their job as the subframe is now rigidly linked to the chassis. If you have aftermarket bushings this will be even better however the spec and settings of your suspension effect the 'harshness' of your ride but if your shocks are in good condition, there should be less jolting feeling. Rigid Collar will only affect suspension and steering feel, your hard engine mounts are completely separate and the only thing you can do there is change to the softer compound mounts - this is common with Hardrace engine mounts used on street cars, Hard mounts sound like a great idea but only when installed and driven does the actual increase of harshness of engine vibration become apparent, there are street-spec Hardrace Kits I understand. Rigid Collar will even assist on brand new stock cars as the factory tolerances on subframe alignment and mounting points are quite large.

Hi mate, how do Spoon engine mounts feel compared to the hard race ones? I want to replace my engine mounts but I don't want the additional harshness and vibration, yet I wanna avoid the sloppy B series rear engine mount.

The Spoon Engine mount set for DC2 (and EG with conversion set) have the OEM style casting of the rubbers but they have raised the hardness as far as they can while still minimising vibration. They are uprated from Type R spec so a good balance for street use.

Unfortunately we dont import fluids at this stage. I'd recommend your Local Honda Spare Parts Dept for the fluids.
We can get JDM OEM PARTS but best to buy your fluids locally :)

SPOON 'Rear Pod' for EM1 ? I am not sure what you mean by 'Rear Pod'.. please explain what you mean and i'll see what I can do :)

Spoon dont produce side mirrors anymore, been discontinued for quite some time. And they only came out in carbon I'm pretty sure.

Try JDMYard for spoon style mirrors.

HAHA yes it is a 'tounge-in-cheek' name.. and we don't take ourselves too seriously like some other businesses :)

Like many words in Japanese, the word has a few meanings. The main meaning is for an outsider/foreigner/alien to the Japanese citizens.
In Japan we are ALL considered gaijins, the negative context is pronounced slightly differently 'Gai-Jin!' when you behave like an idiot, when compared to 'Gaijin' in the normal reference. We tested the name with some Japanese including Mr Ichishima who gave it his thumbs up ;)
