EF8 and EF9 (plus EE 8 and EE9) headlights are the same - but they are distictly different to ED6 and ED9 (Aust spec) headlights.

Basically, the 4th gen JDM SiR and Euro VT Civic/CRX share the same nose cone, but you must change the entire nose cone to switch it to any other ED, EE or EF (unless it was one of the late-run facelifted EFs that had the SiR nose.

afaik there are a few types
they can be used on both cars if u use your existing bracket

1. Glass lens with partitioned insides (uses H4 and H1)
2. Glass lens with 1 bulb for the entire light (91 crx)
3. Plastic lens with 1 bulb for the entire light (some 88 and jap)
4. Plastic lens with some weird japanese type bulb
5. SiR style

if u guys still dont know what i'm talking about i can take pix

SiR ones are made of polycarbonate and they will NOT swap over at all unless you replace the bonnet and filler panal as well as the radiator bracket - and usually the bumper as well.

The headlights read
HC/R
(E4) 17.5
--->
02422R20

Does this mean it uses E4 globes? I've never heard of E globes before.

i was told H4H? also is it possible to change the light next to the headlights, if so what globe do they use?

The SiR runs a H4 (50-80) bucks at repco each, non-HID. The Si shares the same assembly as the aussie EDs doesn't it? Non-polycarbonate lights unlike the SiRs?
