exhaust question hi flow cat vs straight pipe dc2

will my exhaust be loud with plm toda rep 2.5inch mandrel bend cat back straight pipe with a hot dog with 2.5inch apexi n1 muffler? if I put a hi flow cat will make it quieter? is $350 for a hi flow cat reasonable price I have been quoted $900 to get the lot done just wondering if the hi flow cat makes a big difference worth getting ?also do I need a flex pipe?

Is the Apexi N1 an Evo version [ie JASMA Approved, Newer] or is it just N1 [ie Non-JASMA Approved, Older] because the Apexi N1 Evo is a cannon while the N1 iirc is just a pipe ie no muffler therefore very loud...

Sound wise, Hi-Flow CAT will be a little more silent than just a straight pipe though a resonator will help with the sound reduction more.

However a Hi-Flow CAT will save you from a $10k EPA fine...

Flex Pipe needed only when your exhaust design moves at certain pivot points otherwise not needed.

my exhaust shop tells me plm toda style headers are shit and not worth much more then the Chinese versions on ebay after a having a quick look im abit disappointed.

Cell count refers to the internal matrices construction, 100 Cell flows slightly better [Higher CFM] but some say its louder and smellier. I went with a 200 Cell because personally don't believe there is that much difference and it hasn't been smelly :p

nice, everthing is getting installed as we speak Im going with a 200 cell magnaflow and a extra long resonator might make a clip of it abit later we will see how shit the plm toda replicas sound i think i should of got the skunk2 alpha header o well.

300 for a hiflow cat is expensive, you can supply one yourself for them to fit, should only cost 130-150 this is the magnaflow brand too which are good :)

Wow! I knew Metal CAT is quite a bit more expensive than Mangaflow, but $500 o.O Though saying that the AUDM spec Metal CATs have serial number for ADR Compliance.

got the car back sound very good no drone opens up nice on vtec way better than my mates vtir with cheapo ebay headers/cat back package big difference I paid $850 all up to have the headers fitted custom 2.5 inch cat back and hi flo cat, resi, flex pipe and my apexi n1 muffler welded on very happy it
