LSD and Final Drive question

hi guys,
i have a S4C non-LSD gearbox from an EK4,
it has a kaaz 1.5way LSD in it and everything else stock.
just wondering if i can put a stock DC2R 4.7FD into it?
because i heard that B-series GB has two different housing,
type R ones being bigger to hold bigger FDs,
and the bolt pattern on the differential is as well differ from models...
appreciate for the help first.

No, they're not interchangeable between B16 and B18.

Need aftermarket.

And cable/hydro not interchangeable either.

Pretty sure that's the case yeah. Go aftermarket or get a DC2R box IMO.

Yeah it can be done but a lot needs to be changed around, and clearance can be a problem too around the crown wheel. As Dougie said, better off with aftermarket options to suit your box or get an S80 1998+.

I know some parts are interchangeable for sure

Like we said, they ARE interchangeable, but it's not as simple and swapping the diffs.

Whilst in here talking about interchangeable parts, can anyone confirm mainshafts are interchangeable between Y21 and DC2R S80...
