Hi , I am prolly old enough to be your mum or even Grandma.
Once upon a time (1993), My then partner bought a 1990 Prelude (manual) .
It got stored on and off over the next 20 years. Serviced regularly until 2002. after that I dont know. Timing belt was done at 138,000. It's only done 203,000.
I loved that car :D

My ex parner died a few months ago and has bequested the car to our daughter.
I just picked it up from the mechanics where he left it after a service and work done .

My daughter does not yet have her license.

I may have a few questions about what to expect in a car that has done 203 in twenty three years. or how to take care of it so it sees another 20 years.

I am not sure this is a car for a brand driver????
any thoughts?

Hey there welcome
Sorry about your partner
I look after the elderly as a carer
Anyways
I'd recommend what the log books say and get it serviced every 5,000kms

This may sound harsh
But i'd put off giving it to your daughter til she has her P's or Green P's and has some experience BEFORE
giving her a family heirloom

Thanks for your response and confirming my concerns about giving her the car until she has more experience. This car is far too zippy for a new driver IMHO :D
