b series box gear selector problem

Got eg with b18c2 running the c2 box.

The problem is I can't slect gears anymore.. At first I though it was the shift linkage bushes but mine are fine.

I can still drive but ther only gears I have are 2,3 and 4. But here's the weird thing.. 2nd gear is where 4th should be..3rd gear still in the same spot and 4th is where 2nd usually is. Can't find any other gears.

I'm guessing its the shift rod or gear changer assembly.

I'm going to take it out n open it up but before I do can anyone shed some light on wtf is going on??

Sounds like the 10mm bolts holding the interlock (inside the gearbox) in place have come loose

You talking about the 3 10mm bolts holding the changer assembly??

Or the bolt holding the shift rod Inside the box?

Either way I think you may be right..looks like a gotta rip out the box.

I got a spare b16 box if worse comes to worse.

Yeah, the 3 M6 x 1.0 (10mm head) bolts in the box.
2 black high tensile shoulder bolts & 1 gold normal one.

Oh yeah those bolts. The gold bolt is known to snap when tightened to much.
