Hi all,

I know there are a couple of threads out there about the CL9 shaking but I thought I would share my problem in a new thread.

- I have replaced the entire front driveshafts with new items (this removed the shaking from 50-60km/h and 90-100km/h).
- I have had the wheels and tyres thoroughly looked at and they are all good (alignment, balance, tyre deformation and roundness etc...)

So, after replacing the driveshafts my 05 CL9 manual is still shaking violently (you can see the passenger seat moving and the passenger seat belt hitting the B pillar). But, the speed at which it shakes is now different. Now the shaking occurs at 40-50km/h and only then (so we are looking at 2nd and 3rd gear). Seems to be more shaking when there is more load and not so much shaking when I high rev 1st gear and quick change to 2nd in a "racecar" manner.

I have talked to a mechanic and they seem to think that it is clutch shudder. I should also mention that I have the squeaky clutch pedal syndrome as well.

Could it be clutch related?
I've never had clutch shudder before so not sure what the symptoms are.

Any help would be good.
Thanks.

if you press the clutch in and maintain the same speed does it still shake ?

No.
It only happens when accelerating and is worse with load (especially when in second gear below 40km/h and then accelerating).

check your engine mounts, make sure they are not torn or cracked

engine mounts. check your brakes. discs and pads. maybe they need machining?
