hey guys... so found out a burnt piece of plastic (probably a plastic bag of some sort) has melted to my titanium exhaust. The fumes are horrible and it seems quite difficult to scrape it off.

Anyone got any handy tips as to the best way of removing the melted plastic without damaging the titanium surface too much?

cheers.

heatgun and scraper maybe

then some thinners to clean off any remaining residues

The best way is to heat the pipe up until plastic becomes pliable and spray it with over cleaner and let it sit for a min or two then wipe off with a stiff rag, not nylon

Go for a drive and get the exhaust nice and hot. Then switch the car off, jack it up and start scraping as much of it off as you can. Then let it cool a bit (but still warm) use thinners or another cleaner of your choice and wipe it clean.

You should be sweet after that!

Make sure to use a respirator or a mask, don't need to inhale plastic...

If all else fails buy a 44 gallon drum of thinners and cover whole car in it and sit back and have a smoke, guaranteed to get tough melted plastic off :P
P.S
Oh and to be safe wear an approved OH&S mask when torching your car. Wouldn't want to get cancer while your dying in jail.

fumes from heated cleaning solution usually toxic. dont think lil whiff will kill you but probs take effect years later.
