Hi guys, looking to install a new hu on a dc5. I went down to sca today and noticed that they don't have/are unable to order in a plug and play adaptor harness to suit the car. It doesn't exist in the catalogue. I can't be bothered splicing the loom and was really hoping there was an plug and play option for this. What does everybody else do? Also looking to remove the cd stacker and replace with a single din pocket

I was thinking since the company doesn't make one maybe the oem hu is the same plug as aftermarket? Those companies do basically all cars, seems strange dc5 isn't covered. Dc2 is in there, and they make a facia kit for dc5

Aero pro is the brand that sca sells. Was browsing their catalogue. eBay stops at 99-01 integras, google basically gets not results

Plug is chunky as fuk. If there's not much room behind the HU it pushes on it a bit and scrunches the wires, makes getting the HU to sit nicely in the spot with no gaps a PITA

i believe these later integras began to use the same Headunit as found in other model hondas, so look up the accord from that era or the civic one and see if it looks the same and if there is a plug for that car.
anyway, since you dont have dash control or steering inputs just put some bullet syle crimps on them, then its easy to revert later.

Looks like a splice job is going to be done. Can anybody confirm the colours already match as stated in that thread ^

you can do it and confirm it for us.
if for any reason you are uncertain use a battery against the speaker cable one wire either end and listen for static.
a multimeter will help for the others.

Ok guys just got it installed but it won't turn on, I have constant 12v but no voltage on the switched ign wire. I have checked every fuse under dash and hood and they are all fine. Is there a trick to this?

if you hook up the ign wire to the 12v constant does it get power?
if so then your ign wire must be weird, might have to get ign from somewhere else

Fixed it, this diagram the ign and illumination wires are around the wrong way. Pretty happy with the install, just need a new facia trim ring as the alpine one was a bit thick

i found my alpine was too thick too, if forced on it would pop itself off.
a sony or pioneer one might do the trick i think.
