Hi, my temperature gauge is taking much longer than usual to reach its normal temperature. I have already replaced the thermostat and still have the same issue. The motor is a b16a and id say it takes longer than 10 minutes to reach normal temperature on a stand still.

Thanks

Hrmmz.. You replaced it with an OEM? I just replaced my fan and thermostat to a J's racing one and I have the opposite problem.. my car warms up so quickly.. like from cold first start in the morning.. it'd warm up within 5-6minutes.. is this normal? I did bypass the coolant so it doesn't go through the throttle body but I can't see how that can make it heat up quicker.. running a koyo too.. Sorrry for kinda hijacking your thread.. are you running an oem radiator?

10 mins ....on a stand still ? You mean from dead cold , sitting at idle ? This is pretty normal.

If you must let the temp rise quicker, simply drive and it will raise a lot faster.

^^ correct, its also a common misconception that you should "warm up" a car before driving it really isnt beneficial at all but dont go pulling huge power runs till the oils are at temp

Drive your car to 2,500-3,000 RPM max and tell us how long it takes.
