Hey guys,

Any tire/tyre recommendations for a stock cl9 lux?
70% hwy driving.

Usually very conservative driver but does drive hard once in a while.

I am looking for a tyre/tire that will last with good grip. I want to get the most out of my money.

I was quotes 159/corner for a the Yokohama A drives. Anyone has any experience with them?

RE002s are pretty bang for buck and you can get them quite cheap when bridgestone has the buy 3 get 1 free deal.

Good all round tires.

How much did it cost you for them? I have been quoted 225/tire. Farrrr tires are expensive stuff haha

I would recommend V551, also from Yokohama range. If your driving is anything like mine (a lot of time crusing on the FWY) then I think you'll appreciate the quietness of these tyres. I went ContiSportContact 3 and they're bloody loud. RE002 are a nice choice too, as are KU39. The CSC3 are rated 280 for treadwear, and after 20 000km, I've still got 70%. The RE002 are rated 220 so I expect you'll get 40 000 km out of them quite easily. Not sure what the V551 are rated, if you find out, please do tell me. I suspect it'll be in the high 200 to 300 though, as it's more a grand touring tyre than the sport one which the RE002 is.
