In August Yokohama Tyres Australia held ADVAN track days at Winton Raceway (http://www.yokohama.com.au/News-and-Blog/2013/August/ADVAN-Track-Day-Winton-Raceway-2013.aspx) and Wakefield Park. (http://www.yokohama.com.au/News-and-Blog/2013/August/ADVAN-Track-Day-Wakefield-Park-2013.aspx)

The ADVAN Track Day at Wakefield Park in August was well attended. Hosted by Circuit Club (http://www.circuitclub.com.au/page/home-page) it was also a fun day with a relaxed atmosphere.

We took the opportunity to do a tyre test at both race tracks. We performed an ADVAN Neova tyre comparison with the old AD08 up against the new AD08R (http://www.yokohama.com.au/Tyres/ADVAN-Neova-AD08.aspx) with its new Orange Oil enhanced rubber compound. We used a fairly standard 2009 Subaru WRX daily driver. We fitted two sets of skinny 17 x 7.0 +55 Subaru WRX OEM alloy wheels with new Neova AD08s and AD08Rs (http://www.yokohama.com.au/Tyres/ADVAN-Neova-AD08.aspx), both in the standard tyre size 225/45R17.

It's good using a full weight car and a narrow tyre size for testing. It really works the tyres and shows how good they really are. The Neovas have a nice texture, which shows they heated up and gripped up during the two days of punishment.
