Just helping out my brother with this. He has some aero accesories he took off a Corolla Sportivo but unfortunately the Sportivo never came in Simpson Red to start off with, so he has the mica red side skirts, front lip and a white rear lip at the wrecking yard. Now I am wondering, did he make a mistake by picking these up because they can't be repainted? I was told by a spray painter apprentice friend that pre painted parts can't be resprayed again because the paint won't stick?

Is there anything I can do? Haven't taken it to a proper shop yet because it's Saturday today... don't really want to have to sell these as my brother always wanted them for his car. :(

I agree with curtis.....sand it back enough to remove the clear coat or until the paint is dull. It should give it enough grip for the paint to stick onto then repaint

Not at all. I'm pretty noob with paint and cars LOL. However, if you'd like to hear about marketing and finance, I'd be able to tell you everything! :P
