Hey guys

I picked up a pair of Velo GTP-1 seats and wanted to install them into my s2k. Was wondering if anyone has done this before as im a little lost on how i should go about it.

Atm im thinking of getting some bride rails but im not sure if the seat will fit

helps?

Thanks
Antony

Ger 8 universal brackets and drill your original rails, that's what I did to my bucket seats

People usually research these things prior to acquiring the items haha! Tell me how you go. There is a guy with a long ass post on s2ki whom recently acquired a the gtp3. Might want to shoot him a pm.

You done it wrong...

I'm assuming Velo don't run Recaro/Bride or Sparco mounting styles, universal and drill might be only way. Can ask Velo here (http://www.velo.com.au/home/) I suppose?

Well i called velo and they told me it would fit and i purchased some second hand. They are in perfect condition so if i cant fit them ill sell and get brides. The base fits perfectly its the width of shoulder which hits the door..

What is the world coming to when you can't trust a seller anymore.

Its possible they might fit. My plan is to get bride rails for fixed back. If the seats dont fit i sell them (as they are in amazing condition) then buy some brides that i know will fit. So i wont make loss and then we all learn that velo dont make a seat that fits in the s2k lol

the seat seems big high and not much space between foot pad and steering wheel.... how can you drive like that....

it doesnt look like much room but there is heaps. its just a weird camera angle. i also have a VGS s2000 wheel which shall be installed very soon which will help a bit as it has a flat base

running the stock rails yes it was hitting the door. im not running stock rails. i custom made my own. measured it up and got a steal shop to cut 5mm steel to make mounting points. then got cobra sliders and RPM side mounts. bolted it all up and now it fits but only just

I guess you will take them off very soon.... your seats are too high in the photo and your foot pad is almost as high at the center console, even if you use a vgs steering wheel, I believe it gonna touch your leg while you turn in to a corner.... Should have just bought my seat:) just kidding

Looks pretty good in there! Looking for a seat myself. Anything would hold better than the factory seats. Have you taken it for a spirited drive yet? Impressions?

I'm with you Aus I'd love to have one in my car, although for some reason I keep thinking it needs to be modified plus they are extremely rare

The shaft on the VGS has different splines to the standard car. So you have to have it machined and a matching spline fitted.

A bit jealous of that.people at car meets would give you more props with SPOON or MUGEN wheel...

using the vgs wheel and not having vgs system is a bit weird, but it looks nice I guess

Not really interested in 'props' from pimple face yooves. I know what I like.

And yeah, I'd love a whole VGS system, but that's a whole 'nother thing.

Hey just wondering how much clearance you have for the door and the glove box. I might get a gp90 which is 20mm wider.

Hey fellas. Sorry epic late reply. The seat fits in perfectly. the shoulder rest is AGAINST the door but doesn't prevent it at all from being closed. In terms of the center console. If I slide the seats forward (as I have put them on rails) then I can open the console with a bit of a fiddle. here is a pic
