Hi All,

I was wondering if 2010 Type R Civic 18 inch rims and tyres will fit my Civic VTi-S Hatch.
As far as I can ascertain, the basic size is 16x6.5
If you go up an inch, you basically go wider by .5
So 17x7, 18x7.5. The highest spec I see is 17x7 with 225/45R17
I would assume that 18x7.5 will fit on there, but you'll need the 225/40R18 tyres too.
Basically, the two tyres are about the same size, with the 18's being 3mm more in diameter. I'd say that it'll fit fine, I'm sure the stud pattern is 5x114.3, which I think it is.
Anyway if anyone has done this or can verify my jumble on info thatwould be great.

Cheers,

I should clarify that my car is a 2013 Civic Hatch VTi-S... I just read it and that point didn't seem clear...

What offsets? That's the critical factor here

are you lowered?

Sorry, here's the info from the ad for the wheels I'm looking at.... So offset is +55

Rims:
Size: 18"
Width: 7.5"
Offset: +55
PCD: 5x114.3

Tyres:
Width: 225
Aspect Ratio: 40
Rim Size: 18"

Best to try them on to be certain since the offset could make or break your little mod. eg. spokes of rim scraping brake caliper would deem it void and you would require spacers..

what is the offset on your stocks?

I'm not sure what the off set is... how would I find out?

Hey just quickly I think they are +55 offset, I know this is a bad reference but here is a add for the stock rims it has already and they say that the offset is +55

Or am I reading this wrong?

usually says it on the inside of the rim

but i'd trust that ad.

So if I'm right then it should fit nicely? Given the below info they will be slightly wider .5" and a few mm taller but given the same offset should work yeah?

Stock Rims:
225/50/R16"
16"x7" + 55 Offset
PCD 5X114.3 64.1 BORE

Typre R Rims:
Size: 18"
Width: 7.5"
Offset: +55
PCD: 5x114.3

Tyres:
Width: 225
Aspect Ratio: 40
Rim Size: 18"

You'll have 1/4 inch more poke and inset
And be an inch taller

So 1/4 inch left and right and a whole inch taller.... Around 6mm either side, that should fit yeah? Now will those tyres fit being an inch taller and if they do throw the speedo out too much...

So I called a Tyre place and they reckon that the tyre size is right, the only thing to do is confirm the offset and 6mm clearance to the strut.

Offsett is the same, only thing is now to make sure they wont hit the strut. 6mm.
