Well as the tittle says Im looking to Turbo my B18b, What I wanted to know is what parts would I need to do the job and what turbo would be best to run on stock internals.
Im looking to get more power from mid to high range but would still like to have power down low if possible.
Also can some one with some mechanical expirience do the instal??
Also I would like to know the price for parts seperate to labour.

My last question is should I just ditch the turbo Idea and get an R??
I love the R and If I got one Id probably keep it close to stock as well as N/A. The reason I ask this is because on a DC4 the suspension setup is quite saoft and body ridgity is not as high as an R as I like doing track work and love doing twisties and thus the R is a well balanced race car.
So what are your thoghts peopple???

if you like doing track work i wouldn't go turbo, id suggest going the type R. the type R is purpose built.

Go the R if you want to work the track.

the r would be alot cheaper then going the turbo route on ur b18b. turbo can be quiet good on track too if u do the right sussy setups. but might cost alot more then buying an R. Depends what kinda of money u have to spend.

search honda-tech for b18b turbos. plenty of em, very common as they are relitivitly cheap turbo route. but anyways, if u want to know what parts u need - take a look at every other thread. basically turboing every honda is the same basic setup, just different turbo's to suite usually.

Your still going to be looking at atleast $7000 for a nice managed turbo setup. But it will out pace the Type R after you've done ur proper strut and sway bars, and suspension. Because you will have alot more streight line speed, plus this way, your individual, and get to keep your own car. But than again, it will be off the road for ages, mightnt be as reliable, and the resale value wont be as good as a Type R.

I turbo’ed and tuned many GSi turbo car’s around Australia, the standard engine performs very well to boost, on 8-9 psi expect around 120 – 160kw depending on which turbo you use, which makes them a very nice pocket rockets. The low comp stock engines give the ability to run even more boost...

Iv got 1 client who’s in QLD who is always track racing his car…he’s done some nice break upgrades to his car now also so he can break hard into the corners now that he has way more power.

Exactly,
Many people here seem to think turbo hondas are not track-able, but I'm yet to hear a concrete reason why!

Go turbo and enjoy it!

Are these cars being tracked with nothing but an oil cooler?

I was thinking maybe they were refering to the understeer delivered from the turbo?
