The front speakers in my 09 Accord Euro Lux have just started to fail, along the lines I assume as everyone else's - very distorted output.

Can someone who has had the experience got some suggestions on "easy" replacements. Don't need anything too outlandish or expensive, just a drop in replacement that works with minimal fuss would be fine. Also what about the connectors - compatibility issues. Should I also replace the tweeter and/or crossover or will they work fine with the replacement?

Thanks.

My front speakers are making a buzzing noise too :( I assume this is a common problem?

Had mine replaced once under warranty, starting to go again. Will probably just get after market ones put in.

i just replaced mine yesterday, the problem is that the mid range speaker at the bottom of the door has minimal weight in mind, and the design is really bad, where the glue is attached to the cone of the speaker, it rubs up against the sidewall waffler like thing. i replaced mine costed only 70 bucks for 6.5" sony mid range at complete options in westall s.e melbourne and used aeropro speaker spacer. sounds awesome now

Thanks for that. What model Sony?. Any issues you encountered while replacing? What depth are the spacers?

oh i didn't really care what brand it was as long as it worked, you just have to get one that fits which is 6.5", you don't need to change the tweeter or add a crossover, as the tweeter already has a inline highpass filter behind the tweeter. the spacer i used was from areopro i think its 20mm thick. hope that helps =D
