[CL9] Boot Floor and Space Saver Spare Replacement

As some will know the 05 model were updated with the full size spare wheel where the 03,04 had a space saver.

I have and now replaced the space saver spare in the boot with a full size spare. But the boot floor is no longer flat. It's not a big problem but kind of bugs me.

So my question is what should I be looking at to get it flat? I'm assuming the 05+ models have a flat boot.

Is the polystyrene tool parcel different in any way? Is the boot floor mat different?

I just want to know what I am looking for when I go check out a wrecker.

My 05 boot must be shaped differently to yours then. Fits the full size spare with no bump

doubt its a part you're missing, I think the full size just doesn't fit properly in the 03/04

From what I found, Honda just put a full size spare in cause people asked for it over the space saver. So it's pretty much the same wheel well size.

But not sure how they kept the floor flat.

I just checked my boot again and removed the polystyrene tool tray and the floor cover mat doesn't actually sit flush with the floor. It is still raised a bit. The full size wheel in there is the oem 16" 205/55.

So am a bit confused.

Does anyone know if the polystyrene tool tray was changed?

remember the 05 lux comes with 17s not like the 03/04

And the 05 standard came with 16s

The boot liner is different for the lux model with the full sized spare. It has padding which raises the corners so that they are the same level as the centre where the wheel is.

Just another quick question for 05+ models

how are your tools stored? Are they stored in a polystyrene tray that goes on top of the spare wheel?

Or are they stored in compartments in the boot floor on either sides of the spare?

Reason I asked cause I was flicking through the vehicle manual and it said if it was a full size then tools
are located in compartment areas in the boot.

On the left hand side of the boot there is an inbuilt tray with some tools on the 05 models
