My CU2 Lux has 235/45/R18 Michellin's. They are due for replacement and very, very expensive....$300-340 / corner.
Can I go up into 245/45/R18 as there is some really good offers?
Apart from slight odometer effect, which I don't mind, is there any other issues with this option?

Circumference difference is minimal, like 1.5%
That's nothing, thing would be just how wide it is and how that would impact fitment cause 245 is like 0.4 inches wider than 235
Alternatively you can be a bit more smarter about where you buy tyres,
If you are in Sydney I believe Tempe tyres are selling 235-45-18 Kumho ku31 for $175 each fitted.

$175? Can't find offers like that in Melbourne! Cheapest $240 for Kumho's...but I asked because of a good offer for Conti's 245-45-18....buy 3 @ $250 each and get fourth for free...so 4 tyres $750...

then I dont see any reason why you cant use 245/45
cant be that thicker.

You can try bridges tones potenza re002 235/40 r18s or the S001 235/45 r18 both are pretty good or an alternative is the nitto in so.... Apparently they r pretty quiet and grippy

Just wondering what is the legal limit with regards to tyre wear? How far, or close to the tyre wear indicator before you legally have to change tyres?
Can you hit the indicator - the little bulge in the tyre groove?

Just been quoted on the nexen nfera Su1 tyre 139 from tyrehouse penrith or 145 from Big Wheel Tyres & Mechanical Repairs Minchinbury. I have been told these are quieter and better then the Primacy HP

Not bad, then seems to be a new range of tyres from nexen.
