[Pre-face - not relevant to the DIY]
I made a 2nd cigarette lighter adapter because my Satechi SoundFly View takes up a whole ciggy slot, and when I'm charging via USB through the SoundFly, my phone discharges faster than it charges when BT + GPS is on.
Also, I know you can buy dual cigarette adapters and hubs but neither was physically stable when I attached my Satechi SoundFly View to it.

Finally, with that out of the way, lets get started

[DIY]
This is the Finished Product (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108454819/Ciggy%20Lighter%20DIY/06-final.jpg).

What you'll need:
1. ~1M of 7.5A 2-Core Wire - $1.20 from Jaycar (http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=WH3057)

2. Cigarette Lighter Socket - $3.95 from Jaycar (http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=PS2003)
Inside/Outside View (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108454819/Ciggy%20Lighter%20DIY/01-ciggy%20lighter%20shell.jpg) (I got the black one)

3. Mini Socket Wire Tap - $4.95 from Jaycar (http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=SF5125) Don't buy the normal size blade as it will not fit!

4. USB Adapter w/ more than 2A output - $14.95 from Jaycar (http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=MP3664), or $3.95 from eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Black-Dual-Port-3-1A-USB-Car-Charger-Adapter-for-iPhone-iPad-Touch-2-3-3G-4-4S-5-/251289850280?pt=AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item3a820ad1a8&_uhb=1)

5. 2x 5A Fuse - $1.70 from Jaycar (http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=SF2130)

6. Tools (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108454819/Ciggy%20Lighter%20DIY/01-other%20tools.jpg)
From left to right - Soldering Iron, Screwdriver, Wire Stripper (optional if you're skilled with pliers), PVC Ensulation Tape, Pliers, Scissors, Solder, and Double Sided Mounting Tape (not pictured).

7. A car.

[Steps]
1. Attach 2x 5A Fuses to the Fuse Wire Tap
Look at the orange-y thingys (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108454819/Ciggy%20Lighter%20DIY/01-fuse%20wire%20tap%20adapter.jpg)

2. Cut the blue part off the Fuse Wire Tap (with pliers), leaving only the red wire, and strip 1cm off at the red end.

3. Get your 7.5A 2-Core wire, and strip off 10-15cm of the black cable (I used scissors for this by slicing down the middle line of the cable, and ripping it out by hand), exposing the white (negative) and red (positive) cable. (I used 10-15cm because you'll need to ground the negative cable which is about 10cm away from the interior fuse box)
Strip 1cm off the red cable, and strip 3cm off the white cable.

4. Join the fuse wire tap cable from Step 2 to the red cable from Step 3, by twisting the exposed wires. Solder them together and tightly wrap it up with your insulation tape.

5. On the other end of your 7.5A 2-Core wire, strip 1cm off the red and white cable.

6. Solder the red cable to the positive end of the cigarette lighter socket (in the middle).

7. Solder the white cable to the negative end of the cigarette lighter socket (on the side - it doesn't matter which one you solder it to).

8. Now that it's soldered up, it's time to open the the plastic covering in the drivers footwell. See this (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108454819/Ciggy%20Lighter%20DIY/02-remove%20plastic%20footwell.jpg)
(Twist the knob circled in green and pull it downwards gently from each side - don't worry, it won't snap or break anything)

9. Locate the interior fuse box (it was on the right side of the previous pic). and find plug #8, which is unused. See this (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108454819/Ciggy%20Lighter%20DIY/03-slot%208.jpg)

10. Plug in your Fuse Wire Tap into plug #8
See this (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108454819/Ciggy%20Lighter%20DIY/04-plug%20it%20in.jpg)

11. Here comes the tricky part - you need to ground the negative (white) cable to the chassis. Luckily, there's a screw on top of the fuse box that we can wrap our exposed negative wire to.
You won't be able to see it from just looking up - you'll have to put your drivers seat all the way back, and lie backwards, to get a good view of the screw.
This view is directly looking up at it (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108454819/Ciggy%20Lighter%20DIY/05-looking%20up.jpg)
This is the view you'll most likely see it from if you're lying backwards on your seat (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108454819/Ciggy%20Lighter%20DIY/05-upside%20down.jpg)
Unscrew the screw, wrap our exposed negative wire in a clockwise manner (if it's counter-clockwise, you'll unwrap the wire when you screw it back in), screw it back in, making sure the wire is tightly wrapped around between the screw and washer.

12. Re-attach the plastic cover in the footwell.

12. Cut a small piece of double sided mounting tape and stick it to the left side of drivers footwell. Stick your ciggy lighter socket there, too.

13. Attach the USB Adapter into the ciggy lighter adapter, plug in a USB cable, turn the car on, and check that it charges your USB device.

14. Done!

Thanks.

Can you post a pic of the fusebox.

I can help you refine it, if it has the same layout as my FK2 fusebox

Hey Grayfox, I have a couple of photos in step 8, 9 and 10, that show the fuse box.

can you get one of the whole width if not too much trouble, I can see the MICU test port in the last one, need to see more left of it

By the looks of it the FD1 has the option connector.
Top left port with 6 pins.

This is the pin out for the FK2/FN2 civic, now if the MICU is the same and i would assume so with honda using the same thing to save money, you can use this guide to help you refine it, but naturally test with a DVOM first.
Also if that screw with wire around it is for ground i would relocate it, find a local grounding bolt/screw and use a fork terminal
