boss kit stuck on column

hey guys my aftermarket boss kit is stuck on the column (civic eg) because i forgot to put the plastic thing inbetween. ive tried wd40 and yanking really hard and nothing seems to work. does anyone know how to take it off

you probably need to use a puller

mount a steering wheel onto it and using hammerfists pound on the 3 and 9 positions alternately

this usually does the trick
