Hey guys, I have a gen 2 crv with the k24a1 engine. It's quite the slug but I've been researching about the k24a2 from the euro and it seems it is quite simple to change over? Just wondering if anyone has done this or knows much about it. Is it worth the power gain?

Guys in the US have done this swap, along with vtec killer setups. Best bet would be jump on www.k20a.org and have a search thru there

Why do you want to pjut a euro engine in the crv when it already has a K?
Are you after the K24a2 vtec?

Yeah currently the k24a1 is just a slug and it needs a bit more oomph. I think the crv would benefit greatly With the extra hp.

It's not much of a HP gain really
The car still weighs a ****ton

I've been thinking about this as well. The crv really does need bit more oomph for road trips going up hills and over taking.

I did a quick look online at other forums and it seems no one has done it in a crv lol

Ill keep you guys posted as I'm going to find out what it will cost as it doesn't seem too hard of a conversion

Cheers guys

My gen 2 had plenty of go.
Just rem the engine is designed with low end torque. If you got the accord k24 you will loose that

In saying this limbo, don't get me wrong the crv moves and is fine for everyday driving around town but last weekend I drove home to sydney from Wollongong and on some of those hills she struggled abit..

Unfortunately adding 20kw to the swap - not including at the wheels
Will not feel like much especiially when the crv weighs a **** ton
It's just not the right car
Now putting a J35 from the '08 accord
3.5 litre v6 with over 330nm - that'll get you going

just perform a K24A2 + K20A head conversion with Kpro V3 and just the usual bolt ons, then your cooking with oil!

this is my long shot goal for my RB1 .. which is about the same spec as the CRV ... but looks better :)
