I am looking to join the honda club and am looking to buy a 1999 crv. it has 143000kms on it.

i would like to know what to look out for specifically for this model. ill ask for service history but is there anything else to look out for?

Hey mate, the rd1's are rock solid and at only 145k should be no issues. Just do a couple of tight u-turns on test drive and ensure the rear diff doesn't make any abnormal noises. Check rear trailing arm bushes (prone to splitting). After road testing make sure the radiator is not leaking ( at top tank). Ask if timing belt has been replaced (should have been done at 100k ). And if it's manual, make sure the clutch feels good and doesn't slip. That said, these cars are super reliable.
