okay this has happened before to a friend's crx also.
check the Integrated Control Module which is above the fuse box.
some of the wires could of shorted or the soldering could of just broke apart.
either way looking for a second item can help.

Take the steering column cover off man and really look for proper earthing..

I noticed u needed an ignition switch also seems like u have a few electrical gremlins ay ?

Are you sure it's not your rear brake lights..... There's a brake sensor under the dash......get under your drivers side foot well and move your brake pedal,you will see as the brake pedal comes up it hits a sensor .....push the sensor with your hand and see if your brake lights go out..

exactly what jase said, sometimes the plastic pin on the brake pedal snaps causing it to not push the switch back when you let off the brake.

Yeah Jase, you are right - I looked at the CRX with the rear lights stuck on - it's missing this little blue rubber thing to stop the circuit. How do I take it off ? Got another CRX I'm stripping at the moment and want that piece..

Just push it from the back ..it will just pop out .. You could also try n pry it out with a small screw driver,tho take care they get very brittle.... You can also just find a bolt that fits the hole and put a nut behind it
