Don't need to be platinum
But make sure NGK and right model

Does it sound like a tractor at start up? That's normal

Hmm well I think so Lol I'll make a video cause I don't know how it should sound Lol might b nothing, someone told has 2 be platinum or I could f up my engine but since u guys r using normal should be fine then also the oil I'm going to use is 10w40 royal purple, does getting high end oil filter like k&n make a difference

Nice n8

Can get coppers but use them only for 20,000kms, the platinum ones will last longer though.

As for the sound, try getting a valve adjustment when you get your service, and maybe use a little bit thicker of an oil to see if it's a bit more quiet.

15w40 is good enough to use m8

Try iridium plugs - if you buy from overseas it works out pretty cheap. the shops charge an arm and leg.

don't worry about new leads unless yours are rooted. the tapping sound is most likely a valve adjustment.

I miss my old one :(

Haven't heard yours brew - need to hear when cold :P
But when warmed up, mine makes kinda a high pitched whine when reved to 1.5-2k rpms

Sorry nack on topic
