Hi all!

I need some help with getting some tyres. I want to get some semi slicks as i had some before on my old wheels and felt they were awesome. Though ive now got wider wheels and wondering what would be the best size/profile for them.

I have 2 pair's

1. 16x7's
2. 16x8's

+32 offset all around.

Ive been told for the 8' to go 225/45 and the 7' to go 215/45.

If anyone can confirm or let me know what would be best i would really appreciate it. Its daily driven though some weeks i try to keep it weekend only.

Thank you.

On an 8" wheel, 235 would be preferred, but 225 would be fine, there's not a massive difference.

dunno how hard it would be to source a 235 for a 16...

but ive found if your going a semi with thick sidewall, 205 is more than enough for a 7" ... while 225 is also recommended for 8" a fat 205 on them is also adequate from my experience...

remember the cost of tires rises exponentially due to availability of the size, the more common size you go the more you save in the long run...

As above, good luck finding a 235/45/16
215/45/16 for the 7"
I think advan ad08 do a 225/45/16 for the 8"

Sorry to sidetrack the thread but what size do most eg's run for 16x7? I think the recommended sizing is 205/40 but there seems to be a limited tyre selection for that particular size. Will 205/45 be suitable?

Cant see it being an issue at all, Just treat it as a dc2
