Hi guys,

I'm putting my valvetrain on my B16A2 and I'm having awful trouble getting in the locking pins for the cam gears, I've tried to locate it then tap it in but i damaged the sh!t out of one of the pins because it wasn't going in straight, I then dropped it (think it went into timing case :/ I'm going to have to find that before I start it up).

Anyways I'm buying two new ones from Honda ($7.55 each lol but oh well not that bad), so at least I'm going to have a spare if I fk up another one.

But does anyone have some tips/pointers on getting the bloody things in? I've orientated the pin for the keyway correctly, having the tapered bit facing down and going in first but I just can't seem to do it... I've done web searches and searches on here too but it has yielded nothing!

Am I making it harder than it actually is to do?

Appreciated!!

Um i never though anyone would have a issue trying to put it in....

you would only have issues if there is rust, simply grease it up and slide it in

Good to know I'm just an idiot ;)
