Hi everyone,
New to this forum, and looking at getting my civic a bit nicer to drive. Had background building up and racing swift GTi, RX-7's, Starlet GT, and now civic.
This one is my daily and not looking at spending a huge amount on it as I'm keeping it reliable and a non-cop attractant.
At the moment though the front rotors have serious warping issues in general I'm a bit disappointed by the stopping power on the standard civic, disks at front seem to overhead pretty quickly driving downhill on twisties, and I'm not driving it that hard ;-) (drums at back won't be helping).
So couple of questions?
Where are some good retailers/JDM Warehouse/second hand sellers to buy new brake rotors and pads?
Are the front rotors pressed on and hence need a press to remove or just a small couple of screws and taps from a hammer will get them off?
What is the conversion to disks on the back like? Any other Honda that I can pull of disk assembly from a wrecker and fit to my civic (accord, crx, prelude?) Whats involved there?
