i personally find it could be bit shorter but i just got a new gear knob that is a big bigger than the original knob so it provides a bit bigger area to grap when changing gears, Tony has the best gearknob i must say, so jealous

for the manual, short shift is advisable. Besides shorter stroke, also more precise. The feeling is definitely different from just changing the knob. for most civic short shift only costs like $1XX.... and if this is the case for jazz, go for it.... but get better brand though as it does make a difference ......

At this stage I'm not aware of anyone that makes one for the Jazz. This was mainly because the manual was not available in Japan until the recent update.

So chances are there may be something around now (or shortly) but I am yet to see anything.

Change to a momo style gearknob, it will slightly reduce your shift throw.

I'm using a Momo combat evo atm:

It feels great :P

Personally, I wouldn't go for a short shifter unless I've got uber long arms. (or aftermarket seats with lowered seat rails) :p

Not necessarily Tony. Normally a good short shift also evaluate your standard seating position. The best u wanna know is just drive another car that has short shift and the same car that doesnt have one..... u ll love the short shift.... completely different......
