1999 Honda Civic Gli Keyless Remote

Hi Guys,

Im a super noob. Just picked up a 1999 Civic Gli Sedan for my wife yesterday. Just wanted to know if they all came with factory keyless entry. If not, is it possible to just get a remote and program it or the functionality is not there?

was never offered as a factory option in the AU market, you'll have to go aftermarket if you want remote keyless entry

damn, i thought i seen one guy with an actual honda remote when we were checking out all these civics to buy one.

As far as I know the EK was the first to have a keyless entry system.
May have been offered on SI-R or SI-R II models in japan and Europe though
