Hi All,

I'm planning to do a k20/24 conversion as budget permits.

Currently I do not have enough $$ to do the full conversion and my k20a2 is about to shit herself, she is my daily and I refuse to catch the train.

So ill be doing things in order of what I can afford.

I would like to start off by just dropping a K24a3 straight into my dc5. Ill add the head and oil pump in later stage after I've saved up for an ECU and reconditioned the head.

Please advise if I have missed anything here.

CRV top mount.
Mix and match sensors (knock and crank)??
Power steering and AC pumps and housing have to be used from my k20a2?
I can run the stock K24 ecu which will plug and play into my current harness?
I will also need to use k24 subframe?

If someone with more knowledge could answer these. I've tired to search dem americans speak funny.

What's the prognosis on the K20?
Low compression?
Rod knock?

Timing chain needs to be changed and shes done 200,000KM's

I doubt the chain needs replacing...
maybe the tensioner, which will b a lot cheaper than doing a conversion, and km's means nothing if its been well looked after

I should add, the sound came after I had period of bouncing off the limiter <3 drag strip
