is anyone here using or have tried spoon progressive rate springs on their civic?
if so, how was the stiffness and how much did they lower the car?

i had the older style spoon progressives on my civic awhile back - ( made / suited for EG6 / DC2 itr) ...they were very stiff and pretty low...i do advise maybe to invest in some aftermarket shocks such as konis etc !

yup spoon progressives have an equivalent spring rate of F 7k and R 5k. Not a bad compromise for predominant street use and better than some of the other "softer" springs floating about.

But for once in my life i will agree with Benn and say that best to run matched shocks - will make the ride and handling a world apart. I ran spoon shocks and spring combo and never had a complaint about the harsh ride.

yeah, already have KYB adjustables. currently using king springs sports lows but getting a bit over them. starting to sag a little and not offering the firmness they used to. looking at either: Spoon progressive, Eibach pro kit or Tein s-tech

eibach pro kit wont be as low as the spoons.

Id go spoon.

i'm not actually looking to go as low as possible. a bit of practicality is coming into play as well. am wondering about the height because i dont want to go too low. want to be able to clear speed bumps;)
type one - would you say the ride height was comparible to king springs sports low? or higher/lower?

ok i have seen king springs on a stock shock and they gave about a 1.5 finger gap all round... my spoons gave me one finger at the front and no gap at the rear.
