eeew d2

get koni yellow shocks

and ground controls

which will be slightly more than the d2's but last 3 times as long, have a wide range of springrates and allow adjustment on height and damping

I run BCs. You can order them within Australia for $1,149 with free shipping to anywhere in Aus. You can order any spring rates you like for free, it comes with 30 levels of dampening (which albeit, may be excessive) height adjustment (via both shock body and spring).

They are the only ones I've used, but I'd definitely recommend them. I have friends who have used Tein SS and have not heard any complaints either.

Good luck with your decision !

Yeah I was told about the tein ss. But apparently they're really hard? Where I'm from people are Holden or ford fans, hardly any honda drivers so I really just want to learn and get some tips and ideas, since I'm pretty new to this stuff. Gotta start somewhere right?

problem with bc's is that they offer 30 clicks ranging from hard to rock hard whereas an good aftermarket shock will go from soft to hard with less resolution

Also 10 clicks from soft on the left doesn't equate to 10 clicks from soft on the right. They don't have that level of QC (from last time i did some reading)

Also when you change your springrates you don't get revalved shocks

Some complain tein SS feels too soft but coming from stock accord suspension i don't think it will be a problem

From the experience I've had with the BCs, the clicks are too excessive for a daily use (if they were used on a track car, the level of fine adjustment would be better). I currently have mine 7 from hard and people constantly complement how soft the ride is considering how hard I have it turned. Before I lowered my car to it's current height, I gave it a drop of 1 - 2 inchs from stock height and had the damper set in the middle all round. It was extremely comfortable, and even with an inch or two gap between the tire and wheel well, surprisingly, I was still scrubbing. I imagine this is because of how soft the settings were.

I have put the settings all the way to hard before, and it's an extremely uncomfortable drive. Very stiff and all bumps are felt (which is obviously to be expected). I found it interesting how 7 clicks turned it from comfortable - mildly bumpy to having everything start rattling in my car. :P Perhaps this is what you mentioned above ?

Have you ever used BCs before ? I think you're a bit too quick to say they go from hard to rock hard. They are a comfortable coilover and provide ample customisation whether it's a DD, a hills car or even a track car.

Could you explain to me what the difference between a revalve and getting the spring rates changed is?

Everyone will have a different opinion. We can only give you information and experiences, in the end the decision will be up to you.

Okay new subject, my abs light doesn't turn off. Always been like that but nothing's wrong with my brakes...
But I just started her up after a few days sitting there... And the srs light took ages to turn off and the other warning lights did? Is it just the fact it's old or is this a problem waiting to happen?

I was gonna say jump the wire harness under the passenger glove box
But your car is an ODBII so a bit iffy
If you can get an OBD scan tool - it will tell you what is wrong with the ABS/ECU
