you can pull out the grill that covers the original speakers if you're just putting in there. If it's the same as the hatch. To get the whole door lining off there is a black screw towards the front. Then two more screws in the handle and the lock/door opener bit. Then there is a clip holding the window winder on. You'll need something thin to push it out from underneath. Than just carefully pull them off. There's clips all around the edge.

If you mean remove door trim (which i think you mean o.O), its very simple.

There is a screw in the coin pocket thing (on the arm rest thing on the door) and another one behind the handle. After that just pull gently at the clips holding the trim to the door and your set.

you don't need spacers to fit 6inch..
i have 6inch in my fronts, no probs..
all you need to do is remove the black metal spacer that is originally there..
i have power windows too, no problems either

For someone like me fiddling with audio all the time the Civic doors are a god send, so so easy to change over the speakers, but yeah no need to remove the door trim the grille section comes off easily, I think if you put a little pressure from the bottom (under) and push up and pull out that'll do the trick...

just stick your hand in the grill, bottom half; closest part to the dash..
stick your fingers in, and pluck !

depends what 6' speakers you get and depends on the magnet size, 6' speakers will fit but if they're powerfull speakers (like my schneider components) then they fit but because the magnet is so big the window wont close so u need spacers. but u have to try and see because it all depends on the magnet size.

well
the speaker holes didnt line up with the ones in the door
they were 6.5" speakers
so i went the mdf way and cut out the sharp
and screwed mdf to door and speaker to mdf
now its all good
