Do you know if the stock height will fit the fatter tyres?

Yep it will fit 235/60/16 on dc5 rims or rim with less offset!

I ended up getting 205/70/16 offroad/road tyres as they didt have any bf goodrich instock.

the fronts fit perfect but the rear is very close, any fatter tyre and the bottom bit of the guard behind the passanger door will touch.

So a lift kit or raised suspension will be ideal but the 205/70/16 are fine for stock height

i saw the lifted part, an thought patrol/landcruiser, than i saw crv part :/

Ok so whats the point in lifting a Crv? Why not just start off with a already capable Off road vehicle?

I guess something different, not realy any on the streets you see have been done its either stock or lowered with rims.

there cheap as to run, parts are easily to get and there fuel efficient

plus they look pretty mean lifted

I had a 99 crv with 2" lift and bigger Ht tyres.
Thing went great on sand and mud. As its so light.
Wasnt great on extreme rocky trails.
I actually broke the thing offroading.

So it totally depends on what you plain to do with it.

As i brought a brand new Challenger which is a full blown Offroader, Hi , low range with center and rear lock.
And in no way is it better through sand or sludge.
But kills the crv on steep rocky inclines.

Also before i get corrected. The Gen 1 CRV is alot more capable then the latter models.
New models cant go on sand at all. Rear wheel wont run as the system over heats almost instantly.
