This is my first thread on these forums so please excuse any errors.

Anyway my car is a 1996, Honda Integra DC4 GSI and it has started to grind from 2nd to third gear at around 4000+ RMP on upshifts only.

What options do I have to resolve this, preferably the cheapest as I am a university student with only a casual job. Are my only options to get a tranny rebuilt, install a new gearbox or to get the 3rd gear synchros fixed?

Also what are the costs for getting them done by a mechanic or shop

Thanks!

Grab a second hand gsi or VTIR gearbox for like $3-500. Install all for easily under $1k

Or try our gearbox trader

I think it's under $1k for a full rebuild anyway
