Hi, noob here. Questions probably been asked but i just bought a jazz vibe s and planning to sell my old civic ek. I have some 205/40zr17 rims on the civic and want to swap them over. Just wondering if they would fit? would the tires scrape the inner wall and would it make the ride alot different ? higher ? the jazz currently has the stock honda alloy wheels with 185/55r16 tires. I mainly want to keep the car stock except for the wheels, and get the best fuel consumption. would swapping the wheels increase fuel consumption significantly ? also i have falken fk452 on the 17 inch rims and dunlop sp sport 2030 tires on the 16 inch wheels how do they compare ? would it be worth swapping the rims over ?

You can weigh the wheels to compare. I believe the lighter the wheel the better fuel consumption.

Hi I suggest you stick to the original set of wheel as it will give you better fuel consumption than the ones you want swop. Also you won't have a speedo caliberation problem. I swopped my 185/55/16 wheels with 185/60/15 and it made a big difference in accelleration and fuel economy.it was a plus for me the car is more powerful now than with the heavier (18kg) 185/55/16. If you want to swop those tyres do your homework first you can google "tyre size calculator" it will give you the best options. Remember that when your wheel diameter increases,it will affect your gearing which means a drop in torque if you go with bigger rolling circumference wheels.:higher profile tyres gives a better ride but has a drawback on conering at speed. So I would suggest again to keep it very close to factory spec.
