Has anyone tried removing the rear seats in the Euro yet? I can't seem to find my way to remove the part where the back rest joins the bum seats LOL...

Yeah ha, I removed all rear seats & trunk stuff when I took it to the drag strip.

saves about 20kg.

there's a bolt on the rear passenger side behind the seat belt buckle. undo that, the seat is easy to remove.

DANG You did???

I thought the times you did for your drag runs were with the stuffs in the car...

stephen8512, I'm considering stripping the car now since that my rear seats are 99% unused LOL!

Haha no, but Matell one's are with everything on.

By the way, you'll get a weird sensation if you strip the rear seat.

it will be really quiet at the front and noisy at the back with no insulation.

Aaronng, who isn't??? Haha

I plan to run with and without the rear seats although all my life, I've run in full street trim.. Helps be to gauge the car better if I get challenged on the roads.... But considering that WEIGHT is the biggest factor on the Euros, I might just try for the sake of well... trying LOL

Hehe, take out your spare tyre and jack. 12-15kg saved there! Also, empty your windscreen washer spray, I think there is about 1.5kg of water in there.

Oh hehe...I'm preparing for a coming up trackday.

50kg saving is not alot but can certainly feel the car accelerate stronger. Making me want to strip the car to a bare shell. imagine that'll do. A 1250kg Euro will fly!!!!

Do a DIY Nick, once you've figured out how to actually remove the seats. ;)

Damn it. You guy's need a good slap around the head! Stripping your interior like that....tsk, tsk, tsk. Some well endowed lady needs to bend you over her knee and give you a right royal paddlin!......twsiting the words of Jasper in the Simpsons......"Struppn' ur 'uro......ow dat's a paddlin!"

For track days, or drag stip runs for sure strip the interior. But for daily driving please for the love of gawd return it to original condition! Apart from sounding like a tin can behind you, who know's when you'll pick up some lose backpacker ho who can't wait to check out your back seat!...whoops! what back seat!!!!

:D :D :D :p

I'm with Pum[z], have to get out there and lose some insulation around the middle first!. So come on....where are all the scrawny marathon runner Euro drivers???? hehehe yeah didn't think so.....Driving a Euro suggests we all enjoy the finer things in life.....right...now where's that Divine Brown ho who inflated Hugh Grant's balloon ;) .. :weneedapimpsmiley: :weneedachundersmiley:
