Not sure if your kidding.

But mate that's normal. All cars do that. My car Revs to 1.7-1.8k when cold.

Really? It never used to do that, hence why I was worried. Maybe because the weathers been pretty cold lately. Thanks

This has happened a few times too.

When I go to turn the car on while the engine is still hot (usually after a drive) the car doesn't hold its revs and turns off (stalls) in any gear, including neutral. The only way I could keep it alive was revving the f**k out of it then put it into gear and drive off and it would be fine after that. Anyone know whats up?

your car is supposed to idle high when it's cold. that is because the fast idle thermo valve (fitv) is controlling the idle. once the car is hot, the intake air control valve (iacv) controls the idle.

there could be a few reasons why your car is doing that flyson, none of which I'd like to hazard a guess at.
