Coilover spring rates, 8kg fronts, 5kg rears, considered too stiff for ED civic?

Hi guys,

looking at getting coilovers for ED6 civic

spring rates are 8kg for the fronts and 5kgs for the rears, is this considered too stiff for the car? the ride will be too bumpy and uncomfortable for daily?

That sounds really soft to me. But a lot of it depends on the quality and adjustability of the damper. To give you an example a friend of mine runs 18F/16R rates on his Integra and it rides smoother than mine which is on 12F/8R simply because the quality of the damper is far superior.
