Anyone know how to remove the windscreen wipers on a '96 Civic GLI Hatchback? Or how to respray them black? Was just going to go buy some black spray paint and spray over them ...

Including the wiper on the back?

Any suggestions guys?

Many thanks :)

if its the same as the ek... it has a twist off plastic "cap"... after u get that off u'll see a standard socket... undo that... pull right off... (ps: mark the original alignment of your wiper with masking tape, it makes it easier to get back on correctly)

Cool thanks. I was reading some of the other posts about it, someone's suggested getting some good old newspaper out and laying it across the car and just spray painting. I think this is the easiest option :)

A couple of friends also suggested to go to a Hobby Co. and have a look at their paints too.

hmmm well that works as well i suppose... but yeh... newspaper jobs to me have always been dangerous cos if u get even a little bit of drip or a bit of paint through the paper u're screwed...

get some MTEC wipers man... if u in Melb go to Cyber century, very cheap

did mine the other week. pretty easy to remove, no way I'd risk doing it with them still on. I rubbed them down with a kitchen scourer and used k&h I think it's called matt black acrylic. They look great.

take em off, hang it up with a string on the clothes line or sumfin n give it a good sand n primer n spray paint/ better then buying new ones coz they fade quick..
