Best performance gain mods for D16Y1 sohc vtec motor

Might be replacing my engine with a new d16y1.
Any idea's what I should do while doing the swap to make this little sohc vtec any quicker?

D16y8 gearbox, but i think the y1 gearbox is pretty close to it already.
P Plater: No real gains. or spend $$ not worth for gains.
I/H/E? If u baller add cams and gears on new retainers and seals. Maybe even a lighter fly wheel.
Tune on neptune.

Fulls: Turbo the D, best way to make power. Heaps of people on here have their d's tarbo'd

I think i've seen eg d series tarbo run 11 secs or better on youtube. Bang for buck!

Cheapest opt: Strip the whole interior. Lol. Seriously No joke. Weight Reduction is the best mod in my view, it increases 3 major aspects of racing, accelerating, braking and cornering.


Theres tons you can do to a car to make her faster. What is your goals (KW? Time Slip? Faster then a certain car?) What is your limitations(Money? Time? Experience?)
