Hey guys, just recently changed steering wheels and now SRS light stays on. I wanted to know if theres an alternative way to reset SRS light other then shorting out the MES Connector. Tried it and it doesn't work, the light just stays on after i short the connector.
Also tried disconnecting battery and that doesn't work.

Thanks!

that yellow connector that appears to be shorted is not the MES connector. Looks like you shorted the inflator connector.

if you have not killed your SRS module put the airbag wheel back on, reset the SRS unit via the MES connector (yellow 2pin connector that looks like the blue DLC connector) and ensure your SRS system is OK

you cannot remove the SRS wheel and airbag short the MES and make the SRS light go out.

Is the mes connector the same color? I googled the mes connector and it looked very identical. This even is a 2 pin connector too.
And forgot to mention my airbag hasnt been deployed yet. Just changed the wheel and over.

Yeah i did but didn't get half of what you said (my bad)

is the mes connector located where the fuses are like on the top left hand corner?

Did you follow that yellow lead over the accelerator pedal?
It may lead to it

not really i just looked up above the fuse box and saw only one visible yellow 2 pin connector. And from other honda forums, the yellow 2pin connector is mes thats why i got abit lost. The wires in that connector were 2 green.

Oh found it and resetted the light. Thanks ecu-man!
The mes connector was on the right side of the fuse box. Right next to another 3pin srs wire.

if your horns not working and srs indicator is on then you either stuffed your steering clock (or according to service manual Cable Reel) or you didnt adjust your steering clock in TDC.
