so today I picked up a clean lil civic for $200 runs a lil rough but sounds like it needs a good service and a good tune I want to keep the standed motor in there but get some where around the 130kw with out turbo or motor swap and help would be good as this is my first ever Honda

That carby d15b only makes 72kw at the flywheel so 130 is a huge increase

it is possible but would be a ridiculous waste of money and not really suitable for daily driving,more a race engine


a cheaper easier option is put in a efi d16y from a slightly newer civic with approx. 96kw stock

it bolts in and the engines are cheap as chips like $150-300 plus a few bits to convert to efi

130kW is a serious D15. Probably possible, but it will cost you more than a B16 swap. Best of luck, looks like a decent car to start with, nice colour anyway.

You'd probably have to do some head work, agressive cam, stroke it and fit twin webbers to get that sort of power out. Do it though, d series are great motors.
A fresh D15b4 with a light weight flywheel isn't bad, revs out nice

to get 130kw NA you would need to convert to EFI, D16 EFI motor, Aggressive cam with springs and retainers, PM7 pistons, bigger injectors, heavy port and polish, good header and exhaust system, larger tb, good intake.

I have been talking to a gamer mate of mine from maylaysia and he said there is quite a few guys getting 10 sec runs from d15s they seem to get more parts there then we do here but he was tellin me that there using stuff like quad cbr1000 carbies on there lil cars over there so im waiting to hear back some more info on this to see but 130kw is a aim point but if I can get 100kw id be quite happy

D15B6, Lopez crank, 78mm bore, 80mm stroke, LS rods first motor, Howards Alum. rods in the second motor, expansion chamber on the exhaust, 16-16.5" from valve to bell mouth, tuned on 3rd noid.

Do all that and run a drag prepped chassis , and you might get close to 10.7 like bisimoto.
But no way on a street car .

Quickest NA D series in oz I've seen was like 15.1 lol ?

nah haven't seen a vid yet but ive seen a lot of yanks on sites like this saying they can get some power out of the lil d series but was told they don't have the d15b4 is this right and as for bisimoto isent theres a 700hp turbo from the video I seen on the net the otherday but most likely wrong scince it was on stalkerbook

The internets tells me a car weighing "About" 250kg with 130hp will do a 10 second pass.
Thats 100kg of engine and box - 150kg for the rest of the car lol ?

My bike with only 108 hp should pull a low 10. But thats a bike ffs.
