Hey guys i have a question in regards to my engine swap.
- Car i own 2000 CXI/EK1/d16y4
- motor swap from 2000 EM1 B16a2
using a jumper harness from OBD2A to OBD2B is that all thats needed to complete the wiring side?
thanks for any help
what you will need for this conversion:
- EK4 Engine Harness
- EM1 ECU will need the immobiliser bypassed
- OBD2A to OBD2B conversion harness

TOYCVK, I have a 96 Gli Sedan with a B16a2 swap.
I simply used the EK4 engine wiring loom, plugged my ecu into that with the dash harness plugged.... no issue.
If necessary you can pick up a jumper harness from Jdm Yard, eBay or sometimes even Gumtree.
Goodluck with the swap.

with an EK4 engine harness and an OBDIIA to OBDIIB conversion harness you will be fine.
You will need to bypass the immobiliser in the OBDIIB ECU before you can use it.

You need a bypass module. I can supply one if required.

Ecu-man is the man!
But, I don't understand why you would still be using the obd2b ecu? Why not just use the obd2a ecu that came from the b16a2. All the settings and base maps would be exactly right for the engine. You would still have to bypass immo, but it should save a whole lotta hassle.
