The 2014 edition of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, on 21 and 22 June, was crowned with success, with no less than 32 changes of the lead driver of the event! It took place on the big circuit which combines the northern loop and the Formula 1 circuit, over 25.38 km, and which has seen the finest historic exploits in Formula 1 and also in endurance, demanding exceptional driver talent and unremitting concentration. No wonder Jackie Stewart called it the 'green hell'

Over 200 cars contended in this legendary race, finally won by team Phoenix Racing's Audi R8 LMS ahead of Black Falcon's Mercedes SLS which finished just 3 minutes behind, underscoring the intensity of this event. As the weather was favourable throughout the weekend, records were beaten including the distance crossed, which exceeds for the first time 4,000 km (4 035.10 km to be precise).

Motul (http://www.motul.com/) supported technically several teams. The best was Nissan GT Academy one of whose two cars, driven by Heidfeld/Buncombe/Ordonez/Strauss, finished 24th in the overall standings (13th in its category) which, out of the large number of participants and given the difficulties of this endurance race, is a superb performance! Subaru Tecnica International (STI) is not far behind, occupying 32nd position and fourth place of its category. We find Kremer Racing's Porsche 997 in 96th place, while Lubner Event's Opel Astra and Toyota Team Thailand's Toyota Corolla hold respectively 108th and 109th positions at the arrival, the Opel securing fourth place in Cup 1.
