Actuator may not work?

Hey users,

Bought an OEM drivers door actuator from the wreckers to fix my busted one. When I put the 2 plugs in just to test it, it will lock but pop back open straight after. Is this a faulty component or will it work correctly once fitted?

the door will not lock if the door is open.

Yeah mate I was aware of this. So with the door closed, it did as I mentioned when I press lock on the remote
