Q about spark plugs and EK1

Just wondering how many of you guys have got higher spec plugs and are they worth it, what did you notice etc?

My '00 EK1 due in for its 40k service soon and was considering doing the plugs aswell, is there a specific brand etc?

i got a set of NGK iridium spark plug and power cable on my car......well it was slighty powerful then b4 after i put them on......but just little bit........feels just like ur running on some racing petrol:D i hope this would ans ur question.

I always use NGK plugs, I find the better plugs make my car run slightly smoother & maybe a slightly better power. Hard to tell as I do the service at the same time, but as always u get what u pay for. :)

I had NGK (platinum I think) fitted to our Calais (Supercharged 6) and noticed bugger all difference, dunno, I guess it won't hurt ay'....

I've read better fuel economy, did you guys notice anything in that department?

its all the mentality.
since you paid more moeny, u'd like to think it improves something.
iridrium ones just last longer and provides better spark then the normal ones. but cost x times more

havent noticed that much diff. in fuel econ. but idle is smoother, n engine a tad more responsive
