Afternoon all,

I have been charged with the responsibility of sourcing new tyres for my sisters 2007 VTI Civic .

She doesn't need any thing fancy . 99% city commuting .

Main requirements are reasonable mileage ,and must be QUIET on the road .

The last things we bought were Chinese cheapies , wore well, but the noise !

Sounded like the wheel bearings were about to explode! .

Local Tyrepower store is recommending

Size 205. 55 x 16

Falken 722 .

Or

Toyo Nano Energy

Falken and Toyo are around $130

Or for a cheap option Aeolus of some some type for $80

Any ideas on the above or other suggestions

Im running AutoGrip 600 for about two years now and Im happy with them.
Never really had a noise issue as my music is up and my exhaust is fairly loud.

Other than that Im happy. Grips well. Paid $100 each fitted and balanced for 215/40/18

You in VIC?

I have just put 2x Nano Energy on the front and they have been great so far, they are quiet and grip is good, much better than the bridgestones that came with the fd2, $130 a tyre is cheap, tyrepower in Sydney quoted $160 but paid less.

Thank Ricksta,

I read some where that the side walls on the Falkens was particularly weak and easy to damage ?

Anybody heard of that problem ?
